Five people are dead and five police officers are wounded after a shooting Friday afternoon at the Henry Pratt Co. warehouse in Aurora, Illinois, the Associated Press reports.
The gunman, who law enforcement officials identified as 45-year-old Gary Martin, was also killed, officials said at a press conference in the hours after the shooting.
The wounded officers are in stable condition, officials said.
Martin’s motive remains unclear. He was a worker at the business where the shooting took place, the AP reports.
The Henry Pratt Co. makes valves for the “potable water, wastewater, power generation and industrial markets,” according to its website. It’s about 40 miles outside Chicago.
President Donald Trump was briefed on the situation earlier Friday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said.
